In order to fulfil its role as a "responsible company", CSI-Piemonte has among its guiding principles that of responding to the demand for innovation
through dialogue with all the other key organisations in the Piedmont region,
whilst guaranteeing full respect for the natural, social and human heritage
and assets in the area.
For a non-profit state-controlled enterprise, the concept of social
responsibility is much more than a simple humanitarian choice.
In the case of the consortium, the source of this principle was an implicit
part of its founding document: the law establishing the consortium in 1975
(Regional Law 48/1975) set specific goals such as the mission to modernise
the public sector and the continuous exchange of ideas with all public administration
offices in the region.
Today, the "added value" of CSI can be seen in the goals that the
consortium has adopted as guidelines governing business strategy: from the
quality of its production processes to the safeguarding
of public data, from
direct involvement in Italian and foreign associations to its commitment
to the accessibility of information technologies, from the promotion of cultural events to activities concerning institutional communications.
