Accessibility statement

This website was developed according to accessibility principles laid down by Law No 4, dated January 9, 2004 ("Stanca Law"), governing Public Administration websites.
World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) content accessibility guidelines and recommendations were followed in accordance with the Web Accessibility initiative (WAI).

Standards compliance

Website pages were created using XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS Level 2 technology in compliance with W3C specifications.
The separation of content and presentation has several advantages: greater page accessibility, faster uploading to the site, compatibility with different platforms and better use of pages irrespective of the technological device employed.
Content legibility is guaranteed, even in the event of the browser being incompatible with the style sheets.
The site can also be viewed by text browser or screen reader. In such cases, browsing is aided by means of shortcuts at the top of each page, which allow the user to move straight to content or the browser menu.
All images and pictures also have alternative text briefly describing their content. Use of solely decorative images was kept to a minimum. Links leaving the website have a title attribute warning the user that a new browser window is being opened.
Relative script character size measurement units were used to enable users to enlarge or reduce text size as required.

Keyboard navigation

The main sections can be browsed using keyboard shortcuts (Access Key). In particular, the ALT+ Access Key (in Macintosh, Ctrl+ Access Key) allows users to access the following sections:
