ITIL

CSI-Piemonte adopts Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) guidelines in order to organise its activities. These guidelines consist of a set of instructions to optimise how Information Technology services are delivered.

The guidelines are promoted by itSMF Italia, of which the Consortium is a founding member.
itSMF Italia is the Italian branch of itSMF International, which has its headquarters in England and is present worldwide with three thousand associated member companies in thirty-seven countries.

CSI-Piemonte has chosen to adopt the ITIL benchmark method in order to:

standardise the way in which services are delivered;
track the activities implemented;
raise awareness of the services to ensure maximum coverage;
deal with issues such as Service Desk, Incident Management and Problem Management through a process of reorganisation introduced by groups of companies involved of their own free will by means of on-going training and development activities.
