PRESS RELEASE - The Open-DAI European project kick-off meeting is being held in Turin today and tomorrow It involves 11 partners from 4 countries, coordinated by CSI Piemonte.
Known as Open-DAI (Opening Data Architectures and Infrastructures of European Public Administrations), this is a European project whose aim is to make data and platforms available for digital public services on cloud computing infrastructures

The kick-off meeting Open-DAI project will take place in Turin, CSI Piemonte Conference Room – Corso Unione Sovietica 216, on 23rd and 24th February 2012.
Open-DAI (Opening Data Architectures and Infrastructures of European Public Administrations) is a project funded under the ICT Policy Support Programme as part of the Competitiveness and Innovation framework Programme (CIP) Call 2011.

CSI-Piemonte has developed projects in more the 10 countries, for a total of over 50 projects. This is yet another evidence of the solidity of CSI-Piemonte status at international level and it offers Piedmont ICT enterprises new business opportunities abroad. More than ten medium and small hi-tech enterprises have been involved in the projects that have already been implemented by CSI-Piemonte, but many other may collaborate in future initiatives. The General Director Stefano De Capitani and the Director of International Sales Directorate Guido Albertini will present what has been done up to now and future projects.

 

A 3D system for energy efficiency“Energy efficiency of existing buildings, a 3D system to manage energy in residential areas”: a project recently presented by CSI-Piemonte at the 2011 IFIP e-government conference in Delft. Using existing data bases and applying innovative technologies, a 3D energy cadastre has been created experimentally for a sustainable urban management, so as to monitor energy needs, support the identification of energy saving actions and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

 

A new project in Montenegro. IT system for water management completed for Algeria.Improving digital public services access and use. Encouraging the development of IT systems to manage an asset as valuable as water. These are the objectives of two initiatives on which CSI-Piemonte has once again left its mark at an international level.

 

Vietnam government delegation visits CSI-PiemonteDigital identity, e-government, the projects developed by CSI-Piemonte and the legal framework. These are the topics discussed during the visit of a delegation of Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications at CSI-Piemonte headquarters. The delegation was headed by Viceminister Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong and has also been welcomed by Ms Sandra Scagliotti, Honorary Consul for Vietnam in Turin.
