  • Type of data treated+

    Navigation data

    During their normal operation the IT systems and applications dedicated to operating the Site detect certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of communication and Internet protocols.
    These data are not gathered to be associated with identified Users, but for their very nature could, through processing and associations with data held by others, make the identification of users possible.
    This category of data includes IP addresses or the names of the domain of computers used by the users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI notation (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the resources required, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters associated with the user’s operating system and computerised environment.
    These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information about the use of the Site and to check that it is working properly and are erased after processing in the terms specified below.
    These data could be used, on request of the competent Authorities, only for court investigation or inquiries, in compliance with the regulations in force: with the exception of this eventuality, the data on web contacts do not last for more than seven days.

    Use of Cookies

    In order to simplify navigation in the CSI-Piemonte Site and the way in which visitors reach us, this Site, like many other web sites, uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google, Inc. with headquarters at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway; Mountain View, California, 94043 USA ("Google"), which adheres to the principles of privacy established by the United States government ( US Safe Harbor Privacy Principles), to which privacy-policy reference is made for the treatment described below and of which Google itself should be considered as the Holder.
    With Google Analytics it is possible to understand the use and the more interesting points of single web sites. It gathers the data indicated below and points out the preferences of visitors without identifying them.
    In order to do this, Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files that the web server deposits on the user’s computer to make it possible to analyse how users use the web site.
    Therefore the CSI-Piemonte Site sends a cookie when the user accesses it, forwards inquiries or personalised information, or subscribes to use determinate services.
    A cookie cannot read personal data saved on the hard disk or files of cookies created by other sites, as the only pieces of personal information it can contain are those provided by the actual user. Accepting the cookies of the Site allows CSI-Piemonte to acquire information about the navigation preferences shown by users within the Site, to develop increasingly better services tailored to visitors’ requirements. The cookie stores information, such as, for example, the time of the visit, if the visitor has already previously accessed the site, which site addressed him/her to the web page, the web pages visited, etc.
    Since CSI-Piemonte has no control over Google, and is not the co-holder of the data it gathers, it should be mentioned for completeness that the information generated by the cookie on the use of the Site by the user (including the IP address) will be transmitted and deposited c/o the Google servers in the United States.
    Google guarantees that it will never associate the IP address of a user to any other datum possessed by same to avoid linking tastes and preferences to the individual visitor.
    Google declares that it uses the information as described above with the sole purpose of tracking and examining the use of the web site, completing reports on the activities of the site, obtaining anonymous statistical information or providing other services related with the use of the site. Google may also transfer this information to others, where this is compulsory by law or where these third parties treat the information on behalf of Google.
    However, the information summarised above is not helpful in replacing the informative note on the treatment of data on Google’s part : for further information reference should be made to the site Google Analytics.
    Except for the items expressly mentioned above, CSI-Piemonte does not use cookies for the transmission of information of a personal nature, nor are persistent c.d.Cookies used of any kind, i.e. User tracking systems.
    The User can refuse to use cookies and raise the level of privacy protection selecting the appropriate setting on the browser so that it shows a notice (with which it is possible to accept or refuse cookies), or refuses all cookies. However these settings might prevent the use of all the functions of this Site. In fact, some CSI-Piemonte web pages, particularly those for which user names and passwords are necessary, require cookies and it is not possible to use them if the cookies are deactivated.
    It is also possible to delete the cookies after every session.

    Type of personal details given by the site user/visitor

    Mere navigation of the Site does not require giving further personal details (except those gathered automatically and described above). However in order to use certain specific services present on the Site giving further personal details is required: please be advised as from now, that giving these personal details by the Site user/visitor is always optional. However, in some cases the failure to do so may involve the impossibility to obtain the required information or access the service concerned: to acquire the suitable information, it is necessary to carefully read the informative specifications of art. 13 of the Code that accompany the offer of the above-mentioned services.
    In fact, informative specifications will be progressively given or viewed in the pages of the site to integrate this informative note with all the necessary and essential information for the user to “knowingly” access the services provided by CSI-Piemonte through its site.

  • Data communication and distribution+

    The data of Site users/visitors treated by CSI-Piemonte may be transferred or notified by same, in compliance with the regulations in force, to other companies only for activities strictly connected with and serving as means for operating the service.
    In particular, the personal data given by users that forward inquiries or access services may be notified externally by CSI-Piemonte as described in the informative specifications provided for each form of data collection. The data might be transmitted to others but only and exclusively if:

    • there is the explicit permission of the person concerned to share the data with others;
    • there is the need to share the information with others in order to perform the service required;
    • it is necessary to fulfil an obligation required by the law, a regulation or Community regulations
    • it is necessary to comply with the requests of the Court or Police Authorities.

    Except for these cases, no datum deriving from the web service is notified or granted to anyone or distributed.

  • Rights of those concerned+

    Those concerned, i.e. natural persons, legal persons, bodies or association, to which the personal details refer, have the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence or not of same data and know the content and origin, check the exactness and ask for the integration, updating or rectification (art. 7 of Law by Decree 196/03).
    Still in accordance with the same article, those concerned have the right to ask for the deletion, conversion to anonymous form or blocking of the details treated in infringement of the law and also to oppose, either wholly or in part, their treatment for legitimate reasons.
    For any information concerning the treatment of data and for exercising the rights in accordance with art. 7 of Law by Decree 196/2003, the user can contact the Holder, directly c/o the above-mentioned address or via e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
