2018

Following the research and development activities that started in 2016, some specific activities on health report texts were carried out during 2018. 

After the experimentation on the reports' texts carried out in 2016 with the collaboration of ASO Mauriziano, in the Electronic Health File the use of the semantic search engine has continued, enriched with the adoption of the clinical dictionary, available on our Smart Data Platform. The use of the clinical dictionary allowed the guided navigation of texts in the reports through the vocabulary hierarchy, i.e. the search for a clinical term and the display of its relative positioning in the hierarchy.

The results of the search are currently being evaluated for future projects.

2019

In 2018 the Piedmont Region issued the guidelines to implement the "National Plan of Chronicity". These guidelines provide for the activation of initiatives that use technologies to support chronicity, as well as the promotion of innovations in the organization and management of health services.

In this context, the research project has experimented Machine Learning techniques in the field of chronicity, in order to associate each person, based on their clinical history and lifestyle, with the probability of developing a specific chronic pathology.
