Croatia: eGovernment and agriculture
Funded under the European Commission's EuropeAid program, the project has allowed the Croatian Paying Agency for Agriculture to develop its capability in European funds management by strengthening the skills of staff and the improvement of the procedures according to communitarian good-practices.
Two main objectives:
-
compliance with European regulations for the management of agriculture payments in Croatia
-
supporting the development of the information system in line with the reforms planned for 2014-2020 by the Common Agricultural Policy and the Common Fisheries Policy.
At the end of the project, the Agency:
-
updated its information system for the measures administration under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF);
-
customised and updated the current system to implement new programs for rural development and the Operative Program for supporting the fishing industry;
-
developed an information campaign on the new Common Policies in Agriculture (CAP) and Fisheries (CFP).
Through this project, the Croatian administration has benefited from the skills acquired by the CSI Piemonte since 2006 in the administrative management of Community funds with the Agricultural Department of the Piedmont Region and the Piedmont Regional Agency for Agricultural Payments (ARPEA).
